Real Estate Law

Real estate law encompasses the construction of buildings, the purchase and sale of land and heritable building rights, as well as financing and the associated provision of collateral. In addition, it also regulates the management of real estate, i.e., renting, leasing, and the revitalisation and development of buildings and land. The legal framework is provided by public law: what may be built within the framework of development plans, which regulations must be observed according to the building code? In contrast, the legal relationships between the parties involved in the construction of buildings (especially architects and construction companies), between real estate agents and their clients, as well as between buyers and sellers are regulated by private law.
