Immission Control Law

Immission control law is the area of law that deals with the regulation and control of harmful environmental impacts, mostly in relation to official plant authorisation procedures. It lays down standards to protect humans, animals, plants, and the environment from the adverse effects of various activities and, where necessary, to balance interests appropriately. This includes regulations on emissions, authorisation procedures for installations/plants, and measures to prevent noise and air pollution.

Avoidance of nature conservation pitfalls in the early stages of project planning

We help our clients to react as early as possible to or even before the receipt of information from the licensing authorities and local authorities on aspects of immission control law in the context of ongoing licensing procedures. In doing so, we see it as our task to mediate between the interests of our clients and those of the public sector to avoid delays in the realisation of projects. To this end, we seek to avert the involvement of the courts, in particular. Where this is not possible, we conduct contentious administrative and court proceedings on behalf of our clients with the aim of obtaining the licences to which they are entitled.
